It provides ideas for supporting the learning of children with significant cognitive disabilities at home. Educators and other audiences will also find the videos useful as they work with parents and families.
Guidance for Examining Participation Rates and Disproportionality
This video training module is produced by the National Center on Educational Outcomes (NCEO) and the National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment (NCIEA). It is a companion to the technical brief, Guidance for Examining Disproportionality of Student Group Participation in Alternate Assessments (Evans & Domaleski, 2019). The video covers the principles and process necessary to engage in a review of participation and disproportionality on the AA-AAAS. It also provides some examples to demonstrate analytic techniques in Excel with sample data.
Online Training to Improve Accommodations Decision Making
The accommodations training videos were originally incorporated within the case-based training that contains five interactive, multi-media professional development modules (https://nceo.umn.edu/alabama). In this training, educators are coached on best practices in how to select, administer, and evaluate the use of accommodations. These video clips can be used by educators and other audiences independent of the training.
