Module 4: Video 4.1

DANIELLE: Hey, how's it going?

LISA: Good—but hectic.

DANIELLE: I know the feeling. . . do you have time to talk? How are things going with Emma?

LISA: Pretty good. She continues to do better and better in my class.

DANIELLE: That's good to hear. You know, I was thinking, testing season is getting closer. During our last IEP meeting, we'd also talked about having her use the read aloud on the state test. I still think this is a really good idea.

LISA: I think so too. I'm thinking we'll want to talk to Bob Jackson, the district test coordinator to see about whether we need to do any special planning. I don't want Emma to get any surprises when she shows up to take the test.

DANIELLE: I was going to say the same thing! We'll need to talk about logistics, and I'm also wondering if we might want to take a look at some sample state test items and the way they will be read. I'd like to see if what will be asked of Emma on the state test, will be similar to what we're asking her to do on a day-to-day basis in the classroom.
