Findings

Measurement experts support that testing accommodations should be used to increase the validity of test scores for students with disabilities. Theoretically this is the purpose of accommodations, however limited empirical data reflect these assumptions. Additionally, this review found that educators have called for increased knowledge and training in the areas of disability, testing accommodations, and psychometric issues associated with testing accommodations.
