Accommodation

Findings

Recommended changes to policy and practice and future areas of research to remedy the discrepancy observed between the provision of services among secondary, post-secondary, and employment settings for individuals with disabilities was presented in this paper. Specifically, the authors recommend finding ways to improve the language used in federal policy to increase consistency, increase preparedness among youth transitioning between secondary, postsecondary, and employment settings, link outcomes with need, and increase the amount of research conducted on several types of assistance for individuals with disabilities.
